e-mail not sending

Hi, i'm new to Chronofroms, so apologies if this is a silly question, but I have just migrated a site from my test server (http://www.johnward.me.uk/elsummer) to the live site at http://www.ernalowsummer.co.uk, but now the forms, which were working fine on the test server do not appear to be sending the emails.

I have added the debugger to the events on the Ours Blanc enquiry form (http://www.ernalowsummer.co.uk/resorts/alpe-dhuez/residence-lours-blanc/ours-blanc-availability) and it is generating the following, which seems to suggest that the e-mails are being generated, but I have checked my spam filter and i'm definitely not receiving them.

Your urgent assistance would be greatly appreciated, as the site is now live. I also wanted to say that this is a great extension and i'm sure this is more an error on my part than an issue with Chronoforms itself!

Hi John,

The first thintk to check is that you have differetn To and From addresses

summer@ernalow.co.uk to [email]summer@ernalow.co.uk[/email]

If they are the same like this then they often get dropped - after all why would you send email to yourself?

Second thing is to make sure that the From email domain matches the site domain e.g. [email]info@ernalowsummer.co.uk[/email] Mismatching will often flag emails as possible spam and get them dropped.

Thanks Bob,

I have just tried again after setting the from address to [email]enquiries@ernalowsummer.co.uk[/email] and still no joy. Do you think it could it be a configuration issue in Joomla (although the settings in the System tab seem to be the same as on my test server)?

Hi John,

The setting will need to be whatever is appropriate for your web host . . . try using the Email a Friend link from one of the articles and see if that works OK

Hi Bob,

I've managed to sort this with a little assistance from my webhost. The server configuration was requiring SMTP authentication, so once I added SMTP details into the global configuration, it started working fine.

Thanks for your assistance, it's a great extension and I will definitely be using it on future projects.
