newbie to joomal and chronoforms HELP PLEASE

I am a complete newbie to joomla and all I know is that I am using K2 and I am looking to install a form to allow 5 text fields to be emailed to an address. I have looked around and it seems chronoforms may do the job, I have installed set up my form ( i think )installed a plugin to display in a k2 item, nothing happens.

So i have now tried to add a new menu item selected chronoform, selected the form and it displays a page but all that is there is the powered by link and no form?

I am banging head against a wall for about 3 hours now! Any ideas???

As far as I know you can't currently use a ChronoForm in a K2 item. It seems that they two use different plug-in hooks.
