CSS -- Things have moved

lcbarker 01 Feb, 2012
I purchased Bob's book so that I can get up and running with ChronoForms. So now I discover that v4 has changed everything and that what I see in the book is not like it is now. I have seen the videos, which were very helpful to get me going, but I have questions.

CSS - on page 70 of the book it talks about css and themes. "If you have 'Load Chronoforms CSS/JS Files? set to Yes". I have not yet found that switch nor any sight of themes. Where do I find that? How do I edit CSS?

So far I have been able to do a few things to make a couple of test forms. When I click on Frontend view that forms appear on the Home page of the website. How do I get the forms to appear on a different designated page?

Thanks

Okay, I found out how to place the form where I want it - pp 134-135 of the book, using the chronoforms plugin. Although it's named differently etc, I got it to work.

Now, about themes and css.

Hi Les,

As you've found Max re-designed the admin side of ChronoForms completely between v3 and v4 :-( The new version has many advantages but is also very different.

The Load CSS/JS files option is set ON by default now. There is still a setting on the Form General tab - click the Form Namethe Forms Manager to open it.

The equivalent of the old Form CSS box is the Load CSS action in CFv4.

The Frontend View links from the Forms Manager don't open on the site home page (or they shouldn't) they open on their own page. You can use the ChronoForms Module and Plug-in to put forms into module positions or into articles if that is what you need.
