sending duplicate email results

glarkin 16 Jan, 2012
Hi I have three forms that have been working fine, since some minor updates to the forms i am now receiving two identical emails to each of the 3 recipients in the 'To' field, this happens each time a third party makes a form submission. Database is fine and just captures the one instance but email copies are sent in duplicate. Is this a known problem and is there an easy fix!!?? Attached a copy of email setup - Many thanks G

Hi glarkin,

No known problem; not to me anyhow. Could it be a result of the two names in the Dynamic To box?

Dont think so, dynamic only picks up user's email and that seems to work ok. The static 'to' is supposed to send a copy to other preset recipients. Could I put the preset recipients in the dynamic 'to' along with the user? seperate email addys by comma? Many thanks G edit - Bob why do you say the two names in the dynamic field??

Hi Glarkin,

You have Email,user_email in the Dynamic To box. That looks like two values?

oh, strange I thought it was just the one, it should just send a copy of the submitted report to the registered user who has submitted it. Should I remove the 'email,' and just leave 'user_email'? G

Thanks for your patience Bob!!

Hi glarkin,

You should leave whichever one is the name of the email input in the form.

After I will add a line in a dropdown menu, two days ago, at any submit the form send a lot of copy of the emails.
In the fileds we have not dynamic recipients, only a TO e a BCC.

I follow you hoping in a solution.

(if can help, we have our email domain under google management)

Hi m.g,

Please take a Form Backup using the icon in the Forms Manager and post it here (as a zipped file) or PM or email it to me and I'll take a closer look.
