Thanks,
Let's add to the problem Chrome! Yay!
I do hope there is a way to fix this.
Again,
CoreCaptcha:
Firefox ---> Good
IE 9 ----> Bad (You have entered a wrong verification code!)
Chrome ---> Bad (You have entered a wrong verification code!)

Hi aitor@5,
I just ran a test and the Core Captcha works OK here in all of those browsers (and in Opera and Safari too).
How exactly is your form being loaded? Are you using menu links or the plug-in?
There does seem to be a problem with the Captcha code in some circumstances but I don't know what it is. I know that Max made some changes in the latest release but perhaps there is still something else to be hunted down :-(

Hi aitor@5,
Please try to change the "Session handler" setting in your Joomla "Global config" to "none" then save and test the form again, another user reported that this helped, please let us know if it made any difference for you!
Regards,
Max

Hi,
I have to report thath changing the session handler doesn't work. To make it more difficult, I developped the form testing in Chrome and IE and it works. When my collegue tested the form in Chrome it didnt', always the issue that the code isn't correct. I did it myself on his pc and it just doesn't work.
I changed the session setting, cleared the browser memory and still no positive result. Neither did different settings in the simple core Captcha make a difference.
Since We both use Chrome, it has to be a setting in the browser itself and I guess that this is something that a developper doesn't like to hear.
The form is in production without the Captcha 😶 since we have to go in production.....

Hi Dominod,
If you are in production then you might want to try using ReCaptcha.

Hi Bob,
I tried it now. I know that this layout of the ReCaptcha is because the spam bots are getting smarter but it is to complicated for the user if you ask me. Rather using none then missing subscriptions because of ReCaptcha. I hope that the simple Captcha comes back...
best regards
Tonny
