This is really weird,
If you go to my contact page, you can see the form. I fill it out and send it and get this message:
There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management.
So I log into the back end, and sure enough they have been disabled. Really weird because I didn't disable them. This is an old website, been around a long while and working all along.
So I enable the forms, I have two, and try to use it on the website. Same message, still not working. I am using V3.2 component, V3.1 RC5.2 plugin, with Joomla 1.5.22.
Whats going on?
Robin
Hi Robin,
I've never known forms to be disabled by accident. The settings are stored in the database table and unless some stray code is changing the tables it should be impossible.
I'm sorry but I have no idea what to suggest except that you contact your web-host and ask if there have been any changes in the server settings that might have made a difference.
Bob
I set them back to enabled. I still have the same behavior. I sent an email to tech support with more specifics. I really don't know why this isn't working.
Robin
OK, so here is another piece of information that my help.
I am in component -> Chrono Forms -> Forms Management
I see my list of forms.
My form contact-form is Enabled:1, Disabled:0 and has a green publish check.
I click on the link: index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=contact-form
And I get this message:
There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management
How is this possible? What am I missing here? Thanks Robin
Hi Robin,
Please replace the dash in contact-form with an underscore: contact_form
Bob
Interesting,
I can't try it because I deleted the form and added a new one. For some reason the new one I made didn't have a dash in it. But this is how I managed to get the website up and working again. I had to add the form again. Funny how things just stop working all of a sudden after years of working just fine.
Thanks for your commenting!
I am getting this same error now on a form that was working fine for several weeks.
This error is occurring again for me. Again changing the name of the form seems to make it work again. The form is all lowercase with no numbers or special characters in the name. Any idea why this is happening now?
Hi anthonyn000 ,
Sorry, no idea at all. There is nothing in ChronoForms that I know of that would make a name change necessary unless the files or the database had been changed in some way.
Bob
Hi kriszti,
I get the same error but don't see anything wrong with the form. I did also get a message about my session having expired - not sure what that was?
I suggest that you don't use the plug-in but move the one line of text from the article into the form and use the direct form page and link.
