Hi to all, I've embedded a form on an article, and whilst it shows up and appears to go throught he motions of sending the email, when the email arrives, it simply shows the field names where the data should be, and no file attachments are present.
The thankyou message, which I had personalised is also not showing the field when I use my embedded form, yet shows up through the admin page, it's as if it's not recording any form information.
When I test the form through the backoffice frontend view feature, it appears to work well.
Is there something that I'm missing?

Hi paultg,
As far as I know this should work OK. Please post a link to the form so I can take a quick look.

Here goes Bob.

It's only a little three field jobby at the bottom of the page.. I also tested it prior to adding the simple contact form on the left :s
Incidentally, I've just tried creating the form as a menu-link, and this works fine - I'm guessing it's just a glitch with the embedding.
Forgot to mention i'm on Joomla 1.7.3 and running sh404sef - not sure if this makes a difference.
Thanks for your help๐

Hi paultg,
I think that the problem is with the SEF URLs. If you check the page submission you can see that the acton url (the one in the Form tag) gives a 404 error. I suspect that sh404SEF is then redirecting to the correct URL - minus the form data. That would explain the errors you see.
Can you set sh404SEF to ignore the ChronoForms URLs?

Thanks Bob, I've disabled the sef for Chronoforms, but it still doesn't work. It directs to : http://www.securityguardwales.co.uk/recruitment.asp?chronoform=CVSender&event=submit when you fill the form in.
I did try disabling the sef for the whole site, which corrected the problem, but that's not really a trade-off I can make๐

Hi paulg,
Well I guess that the good news is that we know it is a URL problem. Please try switching the form setting 'Relative URL' on the General tab to No and see if that improves things.
