Upgrade to 2.3.8...

Can you explain more about this update?

I mean, how exactly works or must be configured Joomla Registration, CB Registration and Profile Page features?

Thanks in advance for your answer

Hi joayala,

Good question . . . Hopefully Max will post something, if not I'll try to work it out.

Hi Jose, Bob,

For the upgrade we need to :

#1- overwrite all files!
#2- add the new database table, upgrade form is attached!

Sincerely,

Hi Max,

Thanks for that, I'll add it to the Downloads section and update the instructions.

I'm keen to learn about this part. I use securityimages at the moment just for registration, but if this means what I think it means, it will be superb to have chronoforms deal with all that too :-)

Hi Phil,

Its as simple as this, you create your form and take care it will have at least 4 fields for name, username, email, password, then at the backend config of the plugin you will define the names of those fields and voila, the form submit will register the user with the data on those fields!

OK thanks....I guess what I was wondering more is how like registration is it? I mean will it handle people with lost passwords? Does it send out a link that they have to confirm with etc...or are you better with com_registration hacked with security images?

Hi Phil,

The registration plugin will handle the registration form only, other things like lost password can be handled with the registration component itself!!

In the registration plugin config there is an option to email the user, if this is set to YES and you have the user confirmation enabled at the site global config then a confirmation link will be sent to user!:)
