email and java not working

rstruber 08 Feb, 2008
Hi,

I've been using chronoforms for a long time now, been working perfectly. Since we are in a period of downtime, I decided to upgrade versions. I didn't do this with the upgrade patch, but just completely wiped everything and started over from the beginning.

I'm having a little trouble with a couple parts.

1) Emails are not being sent.

2) Javascript is not executing.

Here are links to images with:
general tab

special fields

java code

Thanks for any help you can offer, I really appreciate it. If I need to clarify please let me know.

-Ryan

Edit:
I should add that emails are not being set despite the fact that both "Email Address(es)" and "Email field" are set.

Other than these items, which are extremely important, it seems to be working fine. Fields are uploaded to database and redirect is working.

(I'm sorry if you have answered this a million times I could not find anything in the faq)<br><br>Post edited by: rstruber, at: 2008/02/08 08:54

Hi Ryan,

Try putting entries in the Replyto Email and Replyto Name fields on the General tab, the Joomla mailer requires these entries to send an email. (I think they used to be on the ChronoForms General tab in earlier versions.)

Not sure about the Javascript - is the form online? If not please take a Form Backup from the Forms Manager and either post it here or email it to me at the address in my sig.

I have sent you an email with a link.

edit:

GAH! The emails were working, just were getting flagged as spam for some reason. Sigh...

And also fixed my own javascript error. I'm really sorry, both of these problems are entirely my fault. I definitely jumped to conclusions. Sorry sorry sorry.<br><br>Post edited by: rstruber, at: 2008/02/08 14:05
