Benefits of License Fee

ComputerLady 09 Jun, 2007
Pardon my question here, but I don't see anything on your site about what you get when you pay the license fee! How many sites is that license fee good for? Will I have to pay again with new upgrades? Also, will you be supporting Joomla v1.5 when it is released?

Sorry for all the questions, as I'm just getting ready to try out your product. Looks like it could be the answer I've been seeking for a while - short of writing my own that is! Which was about the point I was at until I found out about your product the other day...

Thanks for a response!

Hi,

When I paid for my license it covered 5 sites I think and allows me to remove the 'Joomla Professional Work' link at the bottom of each form.

I didn't see any mention of an upgrade fee when the version went from 1.7 to 2.0 - but that's no guarantee for the future.

Hi All,

Paying for a license =

#1- You can remove the link for whatever number of sites using your licensed version, it was for 5 only but recently we opened this.

#2- this applies at the version you have, old versions and any future version may be released.

#3- when Joomla 1.5 stable is out and ready I will make my component 1.5 compatible of course!

Best regards

Thanks so much for the answer on this! Think that should re-assure the Executive Committee overseeing a regional user group site where I wanted to deploy it first. Some fears amongst some members - at the present - over license for Joomla v1.5, but I think those will melt away as we get closer to release there.

Situation, for this site and another in development, are they are community based. That is, various forms to serve different aims or goals are needed with the results going to selection or standing committee members. Needless to say, the people serving in those committees are not always the same! Another issue has to do with the fact that persons serving on those committees tend to change over time; meaning persons to whom form results are sent need to be changed. Put in another way, I'm simply looking for a way to work smarter on this aspect of things without the need to do a lot of background script writing myself. In both cases, these are nonprofit organizations with very limited budgets...
