Cannot Save form

GuidanceRI 02 Jan, 2008
I am updating a form and every time I tempt to save, the form doesn't save and it results to "problem loading page" error. Any idea guys/gals? I can access and work though all other parts of my joomla back end except when attempting to save this form. Also, I am kick end of the admin login (back end).

Thanks,

Hi RP,

Which versions of ChronoForms and Joomla are you using? There have been some problems with the Joomla 1.5 RCs which you will find described in the forums here. The best fix so far seems to be to turn off GZip for your site, this will give you a small performance hit but unless your site is very busy it won't be a problem.

Max is working on this and hopefully the combination of RC5 and the next version of ChronoForms will see it fixed.

Hey Bob,

I am using Joomla 1.0 and Chrono 2.0. My site isn't very busy and I have never encountered this problem before. It seems like this problem only occurs with only one of my forms...

Any other suggestions?

Hi RP,

So it's not any of the Joomla 1.5 problems we've been sorting out.

If you have ChronoForms 2.0 then I guess that you don't have the Form Backup option - if you do, then please take a backup and send it to me at the address in my sig. Otherwise, is the form live so that I can got and take a look?

Hi RP,

Any Javascript you have in the code of this form ?

Max,

Is GZIP compression under Chrono...if so I don't have it. I am running Chrono 2.0. I need to update but have not had the time.

Hi RP,

GZip compression is in Site | Global Configuration | Server - but I doubt it is your problem.
