No option to publish and There is no form

jake002 18 Dec, 2007
Hi,
I've searched all over this forum but I am coming up with a blank.

The problem:
I cannot view my forms. I am clicking on the link in the form manager
eg: index.php?option=com_chronocontact&chronoformname=test_form

and I see the error.

"There is no form with this name, Please check the url and the form management"

Note that this is from the form manager and not from a component link as has been reported in the past.

Heres what I've tried.
Uninstalled chronoforms and then dropped all the chronoforms tables from my MYSQL database. I even tried just with the test form thats available on the chronoengine site just incase it was an issue with my html. Same problem.

Also, in my form manager, the only fields available are
#Form ID
Name
Link
Data

There is no 'publish' option as I saw in the tutorials. I do have the publish option in the Main menu along with NEW, BACKUP FORM etc. However it seems odd that I would not be able to tell if a form was published or not like in the rest of joomla.

Is there anything I am doing wrong? What could I be missing?
Mysql:5.0.24
joomla:1.0.10 (could this be it? I'll look on the forums if this is supported)

Thanks for any help

Hi jake002,

First off the 'publish' option was take off a few versions ago (it didn't do anything) and the tutorials haven't caught up - sorry about that.

I'm afraid I've no idea if ChronoForms will work with 1.0.10, it's OK with 1.0.12 & 1.0.13 Max will know when he passes by.

Hi Bob,
I tested on another site with joomla 1.0.13 and it works seamlesly.

So right now I think its 1.0.1 thats the culprit. Hope to hear from Max though if only to confirm. I'll see if the client wants me to upgrade...and hopefully buy your license too.

Tnx for your help.

Hi Jake,

Can you try the other method please ? create a new menu item of type component then APPLY then add the form name to the parameters, does it show up ?
