I have used chronoforms in J 1.5 for some time and love the layout and flexability of the product.
However now I am building a J1.7 site so I decided to try out the new V4 (as I understand the old version will not work in J1.7).
I built the first form using the easy form creator as I was unable to backup and restore an old form from the previous version to the new version. I named and saved the form and set up what I wanted.
However now if I click on the form name in forms manager I see the code that I customized after the easy wizard created the basic form ( i rearranged some fields and added some styling, etc)and the form appears correctly on my page. However I dont see any way to set up emails and on submit functions.
If Howeveer I click on wizard edit rather than the form name (in forms manager) I see all the necessary fields for email, etc but once save it, it always resorts to the original easy form code and removes all my customizations.
So my question is what am I missing? How do I keep my customized code AND have the actions tab to be able to set up all the functions necessary to comple the form?
Also in the actions tab none of the left hand actions appear corrctly on the page??

Hi Dougj,
I think you need to set the Form Type to 'Custom' in the drop-down on the Code tab.

Please post a screenshot?Bob
Thanks Bob I think that was my issue. I sort of stumbled across that by copying the code from the form to a new form and then saw the custom dropdown. Seems to be working now...or at least I am not loosing all my code every time.
However on another note, the "Drag" panel elements and actions do not lay out properly at all in IE8. Had to resort to chrome to proerly see those fields.
Thanks D.

Hi Doug,
The layout looks OK using IE9 in IE8 mode. I did run a test using IE8 on XP in a Virtual PC and I can see a problem there - it looks as though the page gets forced back into compatibility mode using some even earlier version of IE.
I'm pretty certain that Max will have tested on IE8 in Windows 7 but maybe not.
Any of the current browsers seem to work OK.
