Where do I start ? Very simple requirement

Hi

I have just downloaded Chronoforms for Joomla 1.7 and it looks very powerful, but I just don't know where to start😟
What I want to do is the following (very simple):

I have a database where I have items for rent (I am using Almondsoft Classifieds). I have created two additional fields in the database to record Date Rented and Date Returned against an item. So far very easy.

I now want to create a simple form where I can update these two fields. I know how to bring up the correct record using an SQL statement but need a way to assign values to these two new fields.

Is this something the Chrono can do? I have looked but cannot see how to bring up data from an existing database table and update it.

Sounds so easy no?

Thanks for any advice

Hi Phil,

For a general introduction I suggest that you look at some of the videos here.

For your specific question there is a DB Record Loader action that will allow you to get a record from a Database table and load it into the form. There's a tutorial in the downloads area here I think.
