So I was following the DBRL tutorial and on step 11 it adds the "token" param in the link. My question is do I have to load the "token" param to the link manually or is there somehow a way to get the token param to load automatically?

It all depends,

Usually you'd automatically create a link with an article ID, or a user id, or . . . whatever your application needs.
