redirect url not working

melie 17 Nov, 2007
I have entered redirect urls into my two forms and on both of them I get the white thank you page giving the data sent. I have tried both an html page and a Joomla! page. Can someone please help me?

Hi melie,

Where have you entered the redirect urls? and what are they?

If you are seeing the data sent then you need to turn off debug on the form General Tab. Debug *should* stop the redirect but last time I looked that code still needed to be added, perhaps Max has put it into the latest version.

Hi melie,

That's all good. Is the ChronoForms page live? If so, please send the link so that I can see what's happening. Also, please will take a backup copy of the form and post it here (or email to info at greyhead.net).

You can see the form at <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.prosper-with-purpose.com/index.php">www.prosper-with-purpose.com/index.php</a><!-- w -->

I sent the form code to your email.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi melie,

. . . but that form's in a module and ChronoForms doesn't work in modules (unless Max has done something that I don't know about).

Hi melie,

But you have the form action set to "action="/cgi-bin/subscribe.pl"" so ChronoForms never sees the submitted form. You can hardly expect it to redirect the form if you've already redirected it.

Right by the 'Submit URL' field it says "don't put anything here unless you know what you are doing"

Good point, Bob. I guess you've put me in my place, huh? ;-)

At any rate, that solved my problem and I appreciate your time and staying with me until a solution was found.

Have a great day!
