I installed the Beta release for Joomla 1.5 and have problems, where the installation worked just fine, however, when I click on the menu button - it won't open up the form creator box.
I think Max and/or Bob are working on a fix for this, and I really look forward to receving it shortly. Will you make available a new download on this web site?
I also wonder when the full final release for Joomla 1.5 will be out.
Thank you, Karen

Hi Karen,
Max is working on it as much as he can. As soon as he has an improved release he'll post it here.

Thanks very much Bob,
Can you give us/me a estimate of when Max will release the fixed release for Joomla 1.5?
I think he said that version 2.3.4 doesn't work for Joomla 1.5 and I really need this now; working on a large web project...
Many thanks, Karen

Hi Karen,
Only Max can answer the first question. I don't even know if he's managed to replicate your problem yet. Those that appear in particular configurations are the toughest bugs to crack.
I thought that the 2.3.x releases worked OK in 1.5 with legacy mode on - though there were also some installation and layout issues reported here.

Hi Karen,
I have just installed Joomla 1.5 on my test machine here and ChronoForms works fine when viewed in FireFox but I get the missing tab problem when viewed in IE7.
At first sight it looks to me as though there may be a problem in IE7 with rendering the <dd> tags used in the Joomla tabbing code.

Thank you Bob for getting back to me.
It would be very helpful to know of a date that Max is expected to upload the new release and/or BETA version with a fix.
The menu in IE7 works fine - Joomla 1.5; but once clicked the form boxes do not come up.
I am in the middle of a very large web project, and wonder if this is something I can fix at my end for version 2.3.4? I use IE 7 - but also have Fire Fox, so both are a option for me.
Let me know & Thanks again, Karen

Hi Karen,
I'd suggest that you try FireFox for the moment, for me all the tabs show up properly there (but not in IE7).

Hi Bob,
Hmmm - Fire Fox isn't working for me. When I try to install the 2.3.4 version in Joomla 1.5 - legacy 1.0 mode - I returns these errors:
* Unable to write entry
Warning: file_put_contents() [function.file-put-contents]: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 10525 is not allowed to access /home/seeslim.com/httpdocs/tmp/install_4717a66dc91c0 owned by uid 48 in /home/seeslim.com/httpdocs/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 296
Warning: file_put_contents(/home/seeslim.com/httpdocs/tmp/install_4717a66dc91c0/admin.chronocontact.html.php) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/seeslim.com/httpdocs/libraries/joomla/filesystem/file.php on line 296
Unable to find install package
I have downloaded the version 2.3.4 from your web site again to make sure I have all files intact - but no luck.
Any ideas?
Hopefully Max can get the 1.5 version out for Joomla today. Many thanks, karen

Hi Karen,
In a rush right now, sorry. The error looks like a site set-up problem - PHP has safe mode on and some of the folder ownership isn't set up properly.
I was suggesting that you use FireFox to look at your 1.5 set up - it's working OK for me.
