I uninstalled the 1.0 version to try to install the 1.5 beta version and now neither will re-install.

I get: Unable to find install package when trying to upload and install from the admin interface using Joomla 1.5 RC3 - please help!

This appears to be a fairly widely experienced problem with Joomla 1.5RC3 and not limited to ChronoForms. You might be better off checking in the Joomal Forums - though I didn't find any obvious solutions in a quick search :-(

There's a Joomla 1.5 Installation Manual here but it doesn't seem to cover this issue.

I found a thread on the Joomla forums that discusses this exact issue. The solution provided there worked for me.
