Hi Huonker,
You will need to use JavaScript to do the hiding/unhiding for you.
Which version of ChronoForms are you using? You can find the version from Site Admin | Extensions | Install/Uninstall | Components in Joomla! 1.5 or Site Admin | Extensions | Extension Manager | Manage in Joomla! 1.6.

Hi Peter,
There's an article from The ChronoForms Book here on linking a drop-down to an 'other' box that you can adapt. But there ae problems with validation of hidden inputs. There's a paid tutorial here on using hideable inputs in your forms using a different validation library.
I wouldn't recommend upgrading to ChronoForms v4 unless you are moving to Joomla! 1.6/1.7 or you need the functionality of MooTools 1.2.3 for something else on your site.

I can't seem to get this to work in v4.0 (RC3.4.1) with the method from The ChronoForms Book. I would have no problem paying 8 bucks for the paid one if I knew that method would work for v4. Any help here?
