Saving Multiple Records

luandfu 11 Oct, 2011
I have had some issue with this, as Chronoform v4 only stores one record in the DB. I have gone through the forum and tried using the instructions you've provided to others, but have had no success. Please help, I need to have all records stored and accessible for every request submitted through the form I've created. There will only be 3 or 4 per month, but it's essential that there is a record of these. I have built a couple joomla sites before and used chronoform as well, however, the multiple record saving and manipulating the code for the tables seems a bit beyond me, using the instructions you have provided to others. A simpler step by step version perhaps? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi luandfu,

Im sorry, I don't understand the question? Why do you need to save multiple records from a single form submission?

Hi,
I may have the same problem. I have a form where I enter the data of a family relationship with respect to the FATHER, so mother, son, etc.. So I thought of creating a single table with two fields in which the relationship and the specific type.
So when I submit, I must to create more records in the same table! How do I?

Hi Lapo,

In ChronoForms v4 you can use multiple DB Save actions and Model IDs to do this . . . but it might be easier to use a Custom Code action and hand-code the exact query that you need.
