Email won't send correctly after uploading an attachment

TwixXx3 04 Oct, 2011
Hello,

I've some trouble by using Chronoforms 4.0 RC1.9 with Joomla 1.5.

There is a contact form where you can upload files up to 10MB. They get saved in the
media library. So you can see und delete them easily. This works fine.

The Problem: When I send an Email with an attachement up to 2MB (default value), there
is no trouble. After submitting the form, I get the "thanks massage" and the Email arrives shortly.
If the attachment is bigger than 2MB, the files are loading up into the media library, but after submitting the form, there comes a blanc site and the Email is never sent.

greetings

Hi TwixXx3,

I'd suggest that you send a download link instead of trying to attach the files to the email.

Hi,
I think this would work fine... but.. how do I create the download link automatically with Chronoforms?

Hi TwixXx3 ,

You can use a Custom Code element to build the url and add it to the form data or you can try my custom Upload Files [GH] action that does it for you.

Hey,

thx, this is a good solution temporarily, but where is the malfunction of chronoforms or the server setting.
I have to solve this problem with regular attachments.
Are there similar problems known so far?

Hi TwixXx3,

There's no limit built into ChronoForms. I can only suggest that you talk to your web host to see if you are running into server limits or site security settings.
