Love the component, and have since V2, but in V4 for some reason I can't create and save or apply a form in Easy Form Wizard.
When I create a form in Easy Form Wizard, I add the fields, give the form a name in the Form Settings, then when I click Apply or Save, it takes me back to Site > Control Panel.
I can create a form with the normal Form Wizard and it will save, but I can't save an Easy Form Wizard form. Even if I create the form in the normal Form Wizard, save it, then convert it to Easy Form Wizard for editing, it won't save or apply.
Please help. I have replicated this on multiple websites. I have the latest RC2.0 with all the relevant plugins and modules installed.
I've also tried installing/reinstalling via the Browse function and the upload the unzipped package to a temporary folder.
Hi spanners,
Sorry, no idea. It almost certainly has to be a sneaky JavaScript conflict with something else on your site. By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look, but I make no promises about being able to diagnose it.
For the moment I'd just stick to the Advanced Wizard if that is working OK. Once you have got the hang of creating the form it's just as easy and creates cleaner code as the Easy Form Wizard adds a lot of actions that you may not use.

Hi spanners,
It's a bit bizarre. When you try to save the site goes back to display a version of the K2 dashboard so I can only guess that there is some interaction there. Hard to know what it might be as Joomla! should protect the components from one another.
The server logs might give some clues??

Hi,
I am getting a similar problem.
I'm using Joomla V1.7.
Latest version of Chronoforms and plugin V4 RC2.0.
I have ZOO 2.4 installed.
I created a very simple contact form using the Easy Form Wizard, decided to go back and add a captcha but it wouldn't accept it. Each time I clicked the 'Save' button I was taken out of Chronoforms to the main Joomla control panel.
I managed to add it 'Advanced Mode'.
I changed back to 'Easy Mode' tried to add various element fields. Clicked 'Save' and once again was taken to the Joomla control panel.
Seems that once I have created a form in Easy Mode I can't add anything else without changing to 'Advanced Mode'.
It's not a problem to use advanced mode but thought I should mention it here.
Thanks,
Gillian
Hi Gillian,
Thanks for the report. I don't use Easy Mode much but haven't seen anything like this so far on my test sites. I can only guess that is is some kind of interaction with other components :-(

No problem. I like advanced mode better anyway.

I'm still having this issue. And it won't even let me save in Advanced mode.
I've managed to get a form in there by adding fields through phpMyAdmin, but this is very tedious.
I've turned on all of the debugging and error warnings, but nothing comes up. Whenever I try to save and close or apply the form, I go back to the Control Panel of Joomla.
I'm happy to send login details so you can have a look.
Hi spanners,
Happy to have a look if you send me the URL to go with the login.
It may be a mod_security or suhosing problem if either of those are installed on your server.

Hi,
Please test a new form with only 1 field inside, nothing else, does this work ?
Please pay attention not to create any fields (or custom fields) with name = "option".

Max
