I've tried searching, and I've found lots of topics about email, but not this one (I apologize if I missed it).
I followed the tutorial for creating a form that registers a user on my site (ChronoForms 4.0 RC2.0 and Joomla 1.6). The form registers the user and sends me an email (as set up in the form).
Should Joomla send an email to the user? When I add users manually, they do get an email, and other questions in the form imply that they do.
Thanks,
Walt

Hi Walt,
I haven't used the CFv4 plug-in enough to know all the ins and outs :-(
I think that if you set up 'Send activation' then the standard Joomla! activation email will be sent to the user. In Joomla! 1.6/1.7 I think that there is a folder where you can over-ride the standard language file to send a custom email if you wish.
Separate from the activation email you should be able to add a ChronoForms Email action to the On Success or On Fail events in the Joomla! Activation action.
