Need help to check if field value exist in the database

Hi,
First, this is a fantastic component!
I'm using Chronoforms v4
As I understand I have to use Custom Server Side Validation to check a field against the database? My form works fine but it can not recognize if the same value is entered. The problem is that I have no coding experience😟 php and such.
So I wonder if it's possible for you to help me in this matter?
