Wrong Verification Code Error

Thorsten 20 Sep, 2007
Hi,
I've got Chronoforms 1.0 installed. Everything worked fine until a server update was made. Now I'll get the message, that I've entered a wrong verification code (and of course I have not).

Any Ideas?

System: PHP5, Opensuse 10.2

Hi Thorsten,

Could you please extract the latest ChronoForms package and get a file called chrono_verification.php, backup your one under administrator/com_chronocontact/ then replace it ? does this solve it ?

Please let me know!

Cheers

Unfortunately this didn't help. If I use the new chrono_verification.php, no Image is displayed. If I use the old one (Version 1.0), the Image is shown, but you can't use the form because of the error message.

System: Joomla 1.0.12

Hi Thorsten,

If you dont have data records stored then you can consider and upgrade since the latest version is much better with many new features and many bug fixes!!

just copy your form data then readd it back with the new version installed!

I uninstalled chronoforms 1.0, installed 2.3.4, created new tables – and still get the message "wrong verification code". But it worked _before_ the server update. Without Antispam everything works fine. But then I'll get Spam-Mails ecery 30 seconds...

I guess it's got something to do with PHP- or MySQL-Settings. Is there any overview about the specifications e.g. made in the php.ini?

Hi Thorsten,

This may be a session issue, check this thread :
http://www.chronoengine.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,37/func,view/id,1134/catid,2/limit,6/limitstart,36/

Please ask your host if the joomla is using another session path other than normal scripts ? this may be the problem!!

If you can give me sometime I can make some kind of fix which "may" help you but not sure!!

Sincerely,

Max
