Uploading error with confirmation page

boulton 24 Aug, 2011
Hi,

I would like to have a confirmation page with my form. All work perfectly but when I enable uploads, I have a blank error message :

"1.
2."

My "Field names/allowed Extensions/sizes(KB)" is : file_20:jpg|gif|png|doc|docx|xls|xslx|pdf{10000-1},file_36:jpg|gif|png|doc|docx|xls|xslx|pdf{10000-1}

Someone could help me please ?

Thank you ! Adrien.

Hi boulton,

Is this the latest ChronoForms version 3.2?

If so there's a bug in the File upload code. Please see this post.

Indeed, it is this version. I uploaded the new file and now I have error that appears. However, I do not get the file in the email. Do you have another idea? thank you in advance. Adrien

Hi boulton,

Are you saying that the error message is not shown any more?

Have you enabled attachments on the Email Setup | Properties box?

Hi Bob,

Yes, i'm saying that the error message is not shown any more.
I enabled attachments on the Email Setup | Properties box.

It's very strange ! I think it's due to the confirmation page. Is it possible ?

Thank you.

Hi boulton,

Sorry, I'm still half asleep this morning and I missed the 'confirmation page' part of your post. The Confirmation page plug-in is not good news. It breaks several things because it tries to replace all the submission code. It works with very simple forms but breaks emails among other things.

If you need the Conformation page functionality then I'd probably set up a two-step form using the multi-page plug-in and use the second form to display the results.

Hi boulton,

You may switch to V4 too, you can control this stuff there very well.

Firstly, thank you for your answer !

I'm able to have confirmation page and uploaded files in my email.

I have only one problem : I have two "file upload" elements in my form. I received only one file, i don't know where is the second file !

Do you have any idea to help me ?

Thank you

PS : sorry, my english is bad !:)

It's OK ! My problem is solved. This was due to a misconfiguration of the component.

I can not activate field validation now...😟

Do you have any idea about it ?

Adrien

Hi Adrien,

Why can't you activate field validation ? do you have a screenshot or an example ?

Just tested your form and it appears to work very fine without any problems, it validates ok, which browser do you use for testing ?

Hi Max,

It could be a problem with IE9; there's a MooTools problem that you can fix by forcing the form page to load in IE8 mode.

Hi Bob,

Just tested on IE9 as well and its fine, and I thought IE9 is handling everything correctly ? I thought the Mootools issue was in J1.5.22 only ?🙂

Hi Max,

Not there's still an occasional odd issue with 1.5.23 Please see this thread

From memory there are no reported errors, just that the validation doesn't work in IE9 but does in if you setthe form page back to IE8 mode.
