There is no form with this name...

twaveuk 20 Aug, 2011
Hi,

I had a look at all the answers to this question but I am still stuck with forms not working.

This is the scenario: I have a form within a private page, the user logs in, fills in the form and clicks submit. This error comes out "There is no form with this name or may be the form is unpublished, Please check the form and the url and the form management".

Ok, so at this point I log out, I log in again, I fill in the form again and...presto! It works.

If I log out and I clean the browser history (cache, cookies, everything) before logging in, I have always that error.

If I do not clean the browser history, no problem with the form, it is correctly submitted and I get all the mails.

my forms are called overseas_booking and overseas_enquiry (no dashes whatsoever)

I am using version 3

Please advise

Thank you

Hi twaveuk,

Do you have caching enabled on your site? I'm not sure that would give this effect but it might.

Please post a link to the form (and PM or email me a login if needed) so I can take a quick look.

The cache is disabled.

It does not happen with IE7 or IE8, only with Firefox, Chrome, Safari.

Also, after submission, it looks like I am automatically logged out...if I set the confirmation page as "registered" and not "public", it asks me to log in again, and the same goes for all the other private pages...after submitting the form, I am redirect to log in again if I want to access the private pages. All of this does not happen with IE, only other browsers...

Hi twaveuk,

Try turning the Security token off.

The token was already off.

I was about to pm you a link, but I realized if I go to the form directly(set as public) and I submit I do not get any error. I think there are some conflicts with the built in login module.

I still need to figure out how to have a proper redirection when users try to access private pages directly (I come from other CMS) therefore the only way to experience the issue is to follow the whole path from the login page.

Ok, I pm'ed you

Hi twaveuk,

I checked in IE9 and Chrome and don't see any problems at all until after I submit the booking form when there is a formname error message. I assume that you have some kind of redirect there?

That is the problem.

After submission the user should go to the confirmation page (the link is specified in the form settings), but it does not.

The error message comes out instead.

Also, I do not get the emails when there is that error

Hi twaveuk,

Do you have a Redirect or Submit URL set?

Bob

Any news?

I still have that problem, if anyone can point me in the right direction I will appreciate it.

Thanks
