Problem with IE - cannot submit

powerpaint 12 Aug, 2011
HI. I´m using 4.0 RC1.9 in Joomla 1.6 on a rocket theme template. It´s working on all browsers, but i have several problems:

- first, i.e. users (don´t know the i.e. version) cannot send the form
- no "problems" are showed. for ex. if a field is required but not filled, there is no info but you cannot send the form
- there its just the regular arrow while "mouse hover" the send button. should´t that be a hand?
- there are some options not under the other. for ex. if i have 3 options, there are not all in line (because of space) they are shown in the next row where the headline is :-( sorry, hard to explain.

here its the form:

Hoping for reply. great thanks.

Hi,

There is something on your page affecting the tooltip box making it hidden, couldn't find it, sorry😟

the arrow for the button is fine!

Try to disable the checkboxes effect in the template settings, this may help with the options formatting

I still have the internet explorer problem. this is a big issue.

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME? Soon! ;-)

And what about the option thing? They are not lined correctly.

How to mark required fields? Users are trying to send the from because there is no info which field is required or not.

Hi Powerpoint,

Please turn off Input Formatting in the Template Advanced Options section and see if that help the messages display. You may also need to change the z-index if the message bubbles are hidden behind the form.

hi there. thanks for sooo fast reply. but i don´t know what you mean? where can i find the "input formatting" and what is the z index? Sorry for so cheap questions ;-)
GreyHead 02 Sep, 2011
Hi powerpaint,

The Input Formatiing is a Template setting in the Advanced Options (or Advanced Parameters) panel on the right hand side.

z-index is a CSS setting that is used to put one part of the page in front of another.

could it be "input styling"?

powerpaint 02 Sep, 2011
and how to change she z index? into what?
GreyHead 02 Sep, 2011
Hi Powerpaint,

It could well be Input Styling.

The CSS needs to be checked with your preferred Web Developer toolkit. F12 in IE9, FireBug in FireFox, Ctrl+Shift+I in Chrome. This will give you a better idea of exactly what the problem is.

Sorry, but how can i get a better idea when i don´t know what to check???

i turned off the input styling and now the are popups coming for required fields. but in englisch. where to shane the input data of the popups?
GreyHead 02 Sep, 2011
Hi powerpaint,

If you are now seeing the pop-ups then you can forget about z-index :-)

To change the language of the bubbles to German click the 'Form Name' link in the Forms Manager, click the JS Validation tab and set the JS Validation language.

Thanks. Worked great.

But what about the internet explorer problem? Any ideas?

And how to display the options like this:
- Vorerst nichts, Danke!
- Hasenkostüm (Kauf 25€)
- Hennenkostüm (Leih 8€)
- Foto- bzw. Videoservice (ab 89€)

because they are all over the place (not good looking)

Hi powerpaint,

I think that the IE problem is now fixed and I see that you've added a little table for the checkboxes.

Yes, i "added" it. but now it´s gone ;-) after i entered something within the wizard, all the html is overwritten!
What to do?
GreyHead 02 Sep, 2011
Hi powerpaint,

If you want to use Custom HTML then switch the Form HTML Setting from Wizard to Custom over the Formn HTML editor. That will stop you editing the Form HTML in the Wizard.
