How can I use multi forms ? struggling since 3 days to use

I created three forms using V4 and i want to inter link them, I did this by creating a redirect button but I couldn't find the data being saved in $_SESSION or $form->data...>??? after submit in each form I assigned the $_POST data to session...But i wen I printed $_SESSION in next page, the array is empty, Then I thought multi page plugin could help, I have activated thru my parent form and configured like this. There is no documentation to use the features of chronoform, but Q & A's in bits and pieces here n there... I wish the developers make the API's and documentation available so that the users don't have to browse all 30,000 question in the forum to find a solution .

No of steps=3,
step form names=form_1,form_2,form_3
finalize button name= FreeTrial(form name)
enable steps navigation= yes
debug= yes.

Please help or guide me to the question which is solved, i didn't find any specific good explaination to this ?? thanks in advance

I m following this documentaion from pay pal.. can you help me where to place this codes or if i can call external php files along with chronoforms.
