User interface not working

haroldbr 02 Aug, 2011
I'm trying to use ChronoForms 3.2 on Joomla 1.5.22 with the Mootools upgrade installed. When I'm on the "Setup Emails" step, the drag-and-drop interface doesn't seem to be working correctly. I can't add any elements to the email message. When I drag them over the box, they just stay hovering there. See the attached image. Tested in Firefox 5.0.1 and Google Chrome 13.0.782.107 on Mac OS 10.6.8.

Hi haroldbr,

ChronoForms v3 requires the MooTools Upgrade to be disabled. If you need it enabled then you can use ChronoForms v4.

Thanks for the info. I've installed Chronoforms 4, but I can't get my forms to link up to database tables. I've tried a custom coded form as well as one that I created with the form wizard. The tables were created in the database, but are not linked to the forms in any way. When I submit a form, the data just magically disappears. Can I manually connect the tables?

Hi haroldbr,

In CFv4 you need to drag a DB Save action into the OnSubmit event and configure it to get the data to save to a table. (Or configure on the Store Data tab if you are using the Easy Wizard.)

Hi,

There is a PDF tutorial at our "Tutorials" page explaining the DB saving process in V4 in details.
