Email Form Data

GreyHead 27 Jul, 2011
Hi hiddenaudacity,

The Form action (the URL the form Submits to) is badly broken. It currently reads
http://<a href='http://imperiumpt.com' title='http://imperiumpt.com'>ImperiumPT</a>.com.au/index.php?option=com_chronoforms&chronoform=FreeAssessment&event=submit

ChronoForms picks this up from the site settings. My best guess is that either you have the Site URL configured as
http://<a href='http://imperiumpt.com' title='http://imperiumpt.com'>ImperiumPT</a>.com.au
instead of
http://imperiumpt.com.au
or that some other extension is changing URLs in the page into links.

I seem to be having a similar issue (i think). I fill out the form, click submit, and all I get is a "confirmation" message in the email. No form data. I'm new to all this Joomla stuff so any help would be appreciated. Here is a link to my form: http://monroe-tech.com/index.php/get-a-quote.

Also, how do I get the email to show the users return email address in the "from" section? Right now it says it is from my own email. Probably something I set wrong im sure.

Hi arueder ,

I think you have a completely different problem. Assuming that you are using ChronoForms v4 you need to edit he Email template to include the data from the form.

To get a Reply To link working use the static From Email with an address that matches the site domain name and use Dynamic ReplyTo Email for the user email.

Thanks for the super quick reply!!

Please excuse my lack of understanding but how do I modify the email template to include the data?

Figured it out!

I have been a big fan of Chronoform but I am lost on this newest version.

When I submit my form I do get an email but the body of the email looks like this.

{first-name} {last-name} {email-address} {mailing-address} {city}, {state}, {zip} {comments}

Hi rmaldeney ,

I suspect that the problem is the dashes in the input names they caused problems in CFv3 and I suspect they still do in CFv4.
