Hi,

We are about to upgrade our joomla site from V1.5.23 to V1.6 and then V1.7

We are currently running Chronoforms V3 and I know we need to go to V4. I have a couple of questions.

1) Is there a straightforward Chronoforms version upgrade process that will keep our current forms and data intact?

2) Will Chronoforms V4 work woth Joomla v1.7?

If there is any other help or advice you can give, we would be very grateful.

Hi Peter,

There is no automatic upgrade from CFv3 to CFv4 :-(

If the forms are simple I recommend recreating from scratch using the Wizard. That's probably going to save you time in the long term as they will then be CFv4 'native'.

If they are complicated then you can copy and paste over blocks of code - the Form HTML for example; and then add the extra features - mail, DB Save, etc. using the Wizard.

So far, on my limited tests today, CFv4 seems to be running OK with Joomla! 1.7
