Drag and Drop Not Working

tonicarr 15 Jul, 2011
I thought I should start my own topic. I am having the same problem as the other readers my chono forms won't drag and drop. I think it is the moo tools issue but I have no idea how to figure out if I have moo tools. I did not see it in the admin. and I don't know where to get it to install it. So I am really in the dark here. It may not be the moo tools. I am using joomla 1.5.23,

Thank you for your help. I saw there is a "basic form" I can install but I can't even find the basic form.

Obviously I am a newbie.

Hi Toni,

Please don't double post - it wastes your time and mine. Have you checked the replies in the other thread?

Note: The 'Basic Demo Form' was in ChronoForms v3, it isn't a part of the CFv4 installation.

Hi Toni,

By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

Dear Bob,
I figured it out and found the moo tools. It is now enabled and drag and drop seems to be working. Since this is my first time using Chrono forms and I just want to put together a simple form. What is the fastest way to do that? Point me to the best tutorial. Thanks so much for your patience.

Hi Toni,

There are a couple of useful videos and some PDF tutorials linked through the sticky Tutorials post in the ChronoForms v4 forum here .

I will take a look at them. So far I am not successful in creating a form.
Guess there is a learning curve.

Thank you. 🙂

Hi,
So I've read all the tutorials for on the page for J1.5 V4 tutorials. However, I too am at a loss on how to create a first form. I used a previous version of ChronoForms and it really was easy to understand...this version is harder.

Anyways, so my issue is that I can't seem to get how to put the "Lable Text" to be the text I need it to be. For instance here's a screen shot of my simple form so far: http://screencast.com/t/4ObX23nO
OK, see where is says "Label Text" how do I get that to say "Name"?

Here in the configuration portion you can see I've input "Name" for that field, but it doesn't show up as "Name" on the form. See here: http://screencast.com/t/ZPzuOXTCXAyy

What am I doing wrong here?

I am using V4 of the component and am working in Joomla 1.5.22.

Hi Teammate,

Scroll down another half-an-inch or so and you;ll see a box marked 'Label' - you can put the label text in there.
