Date format in email sent

Hi- im so sorry if this has already been answered, but i have read so many posts on this and none of it is working/making sense! im at my wits end...

its such a simple thing.. currently the date in the email sent by the form is 2011-07-31 21:15:59. I want it to be 31-07-2011 with no time. Im using a datepicker for this field.

im using joomla 1.6 and chronoforms V4 RC1.8.

if someone can please give me a step by step on how to change this it would be very much appreciated!!

Never mind- it was as simple as i was viewing it in simple wizard mode so i could not find the customedatepicker event that you were talking about...
