Help in showing forms in v4

jmarian1 07 Jul, 2011
Hi. I have a Joomla 1.5.23 version and just installed v4 with v3 still accessible to a new site. I also have a backup form with file name .cf4bak which I tried to restore it in v4. It says "the result is successful" but I don't see any form at all. I also make sure that when I installed the v4, the System-Mootools Upgrade is enabled in the plug-in. When I checked on what version of Mootools I used via /media/system/js/mootools.js, it still showing the 1.12 version. Am I missing something? Please help.

When the plugin is installed mootools drag and drop and more into ChronoForms does not work.
Then you should see two items "Chrono forms" in the Components.
One is v3 the other v4. Have you tested both?

Hi jmarian1,

I've no idea about the Form backup - I've restored many without any problems.

There is something wrong with the site setup though if you have the MooTools Upgrade plug-in enabled and MooTools 1.12 is still loading :-(

Thanks Bob and vales for the check. I can view the form now. Max fixed something on the form. Anyway, I have another problem that I know for sure maybe related to the installation of v4 to my site. This is the only problem I noticed and maybe a big problem if I can't fix it right away. We have a front-end administrator who enter all the data in the articles and sometimes, she needs to create a table with borders. Somehow, with the new chronoform version, when I tried to create a table in the article page and set the border into 1 or 2, it doesn't show any border at all when you view it in the web page but I can see it in the source page as well as in the admin site/article page. This is strange and I really don't know why it is acting that way. Any idea or solution is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi jmarian1,

This is probably something in the template or form CSS. Use your preferred webdeveloper tool* to check out exactly what is happening.

* FireBug for FireFox, Shift+Ctrl+I in Chrome, F12 in IE 8 or IE9
