Field names and no email

Ravens 11 Jun, 2011
I have created a volunteer signup form that I want to send to a Google doc spreadsheet when finished. The google spreadsheet needs the fields named as "entry.0.single" "entry.1.single" "entry.2.group", etc. However, if I use names like that, Chronoforms doesn't seem to know they are field names and will not use them in the thank you page or in the email it sends with the results. If I rename the fields to something like "VolName" "VolPhone" they are then used in the thank you page and email, but don't make it to the google spreadsheet. I tried setting the transfer up using CURL in Chronoforms v3 but could not get it to work. So I've downloaded v4 to try it, but don't find the plugins.

Also, when I do get the info submitted to the google spreadsheet, I'm not getting the thank you page or the email from Chronoforms.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi ravens,

I think that the cURL or ReDirect URL actions in CFV4 will let you redirect the data correctly. Dots '.' aren't allowed in form input names but they should be fine in these actions. They are both in the CURL actions group.

I've have a look around the Google docs help but I can't find any docs on importing data like this. Can you point me to a help doc and then I'll run a test.
