Personally I find RokBridge very smooth and unobtrusive; it just runs. Unfortunately, last time I checked RocketTheme said that they were not planning to upgrade it to Joomla! 1.6 :-(

I have less experience with JFusion; I do work on a couple of sites that use it with SME. It also seems to work well but I haven't had to set it up or make any changes. I don't like the Jfusion URLs but that may be configurable.

If I were starting over with a fresh site I'd probably use an integrated forum inside Joomla! 1.6 - that would get round a lot of bridging hassles.

Actually, I am looking into using Native Joomla Forum, like Kunena,
