After a slow submission using the contact form - chrono forms seemed to hang - I got these errors:
I am using the standard version - just seemingly got downgraded a few weeks ago. I saw this message:
When I revalidated and tried the form again all worked again without any such errors. Is this a bug?

The FTP messages are usually because FTP is enabled in the site Global Configuration but the settings are incorrect or the FTP user doesn't have the permissions necessary to do the task (presumably uploading a file here).
I'm afraid that have no idea why your validation would lapse; it's unlikely to be directly connected to the FTP problem.
