Joomla Registration

gabedaly 16 May, 2011
Running Joomla 1.5.23 and Chronoforms version4. I can not get the form to create a simple "Registered Joomla User". I get an error saying the passwords do not match when I hit submit even though they do.

I have disabled the Joomla registration as described in the registration settings tab and all fields match and have been triple checked. I'm pulling my hair out. This is a simple form with the following.

Name
Username
Email
Password
Confirm Password
Submit

On the actions tab I have the following

(on load)
show html

(on submit)
registration

Am I missing something? There is no new users created in Joomla and I get the password don't match error. Is there another forum post (that I can't find) where this is explained for the V4 version?

Thank you,
Gabe

I thought I was able to get the password validation to work by removing the registration event and starting from scratch but after adding the event loop to the on fail for the registration event the "password do not match" error comes up again. The form seems to process but it does not update Joomla users.

Am I the only one that has this problem running Joomla 1.5.23 and Chronoforms version4?

Hello Max,

Thank you for addressing the registration issue. The new file fixed it perfectly. I plan on doing a bit more exploring of this program and will hopefully purchase the Authorize.net plugin and a licensed copy if all goes well. Thanks for doing what you do!!!

Hi Max.
It does not save in the users table and displays this message.

Joomla 1.6.3 chronoforms v4 RC.1.8

I solved. The fields that correspond to the name, username and email on the form must have the same name as the users table.
So: name, username, email

Now it works fine

No, it does not.
I have an RC 1.9 with the same problem.
But I have found solution.

In file "joomla_registration.php" 'pass_confirm'-field named 'password2'.
Only when I renamed field from 'password_confirm' (like in the tutorial pdf) to 'password2' (like in that file), form started to work.

Sorry for my englishπŸ™‚

I'm always check a latest versions before installing on my next project.
My RC1.9 archive was not changed since you public it in downloads.

Hi Magnum79,

I can't see any reference to 'password_confirm' or 'confirm' in the Joomla Registration action files either?
