V4 not emailing form

jchungerford 13 May, 2011
Using V4 Joomla 1.6.3

It appears that I have set all of the email actions to my forms correctly however they are not emailing to me upon submit. When the website was first deployed, it worked one time but only supplied the title and sender's ip. Now nothing is emailed.

Anyone out there have this problem before?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm having the same issue as well, but I think mine is a little bigger. I'm deploying a form modal - but I'm not getting thank you messages OR the actual submitted form.

But when I make a hard link to the form, I see nothing there...

Very strange. I'm working this issue now with the support - you can see my thread here for any insight.

Hi jchungerford,

The original problem sounds like you haven't created an email template; the ongoing one is probably a configuration problem.

By all means email or PM me the site URL and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.

@gncnew, did you create your form using the "Easy wizard mode" ?

- My form have a captcha and a email ("Correo Electrónico") field, when there is a mistake in cpatcha validation in the email field appear this:
" <script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript'> <!-- var prefix = 'mailto:'; var suffix = ''; var attribs = ''; var path = 'hr' + 'ef' + '='; var addy12848 = 'a.llorisamor' + '@'; addy12848 = addy12848 + 'aproxxima' + '.' + 'com'; document.write( '<a ' + path + '\'' + prefix + addy12848 + suffix + '\'' + attribs + '>' ); document.write( addy12848 ); document.write( '<\/a>' ); //--> </script><script language='JavaScript' type='text/javascript'> <!-- document.write( '<span style=\'display: none;\'>' ); //--> </script>Esta dirección electrónica esta protegida contra spam bots. I hope some one help me...

Hi antares,

You have the Joomla! Email Cloaking Plug-in enabled and it is trying to cloak the sample e-mail in the ChronoForms validation message. Disable the plug-in temporarily to check this is the problem. If you need the plug-in change the plug-ins order so that Email Cloaking runs before ChronoForms.

NB These are Joomla! plug-ins that you manage from Site Admin | Extensions | Plug-in Manager

Hi Antonio,

I think that the problem is probably because you have the same email address in the To & From Email boxes and the mailer looks at that and says 'Why bother?'. Please try changing the From address to admin@your_domain.com
