Email setup problem

Hey!

I have a problem with the email setup. I'm using joomla 1.5.22 and chronocontact 3.1 RC5.5. When i make changes in the tab email setup and i try to save it, it doesn't save anything. When i make changes in other tabs there is no saving problem. What could be the problem?

Hi Ellen,

If they are changes in the Email Setup Properties box then you need to click the Apply button at the bottom of the box even though it doesn't appear to do anything.

Thnx for the answer. But unfortunately that didn't helped for my problem. It still won't save the changes i made. Could there be another solution?

Hi Ellen,

Is the Email Setup box showing a yellow-green background? If the change isn't saving it may be a problem with validating the entries in the setup. Can you send post a screenshot here (or email or PM to me if you prefer) please?

I added two printscreens. Is this what you mean? This is the change i try to save. But when i choose save and i return to the email setup tab, i didn't save the settings.

Hi Ellen,,

The first image has all the necessary entries but they are empty. You need valid content (an email address or a test string) in each box.

The second image also needs content and is missing the From Name & From Email boxes.

Thnx!! All the time i had an emailadress and name in the first two boxes, but not in the boxes from email and from name. That was the trick!! Oh that was simple..😶
