I have 2 forms but no matter what I do, both menu items I create point to the same form. I understand how this is done and the settings ARE CORRECT, meaning when i create the menu item I put the name of the form it's supposed to point to. I tried this with SEF urls on and off. I tried creating a BRAND NEW form from scratch. I tried emptying cache in JoomSEF. i tried deleting those SEF urls and starting over. I tried deleting my menu items and creating them anew. I tried manually entering the old url in JoomSEF to make sure the new is really tied to the nonSEF version. Nothing works. No matter what I do, I can only get the menu items to point to one form, not 2. To repeat, I tried this without SEF as well, so that is not it.
I found a solution. I went to the Manage extensions in JoomSEF and had to open up the chrono parameters. There I set the SEF handling to "not using SEF." Now the menu item works.
