I have joomla 1.6 and I am using Chronoengine for my form. On the article, the form does not appear, only `{chronocontact}Contact{/chronocontact}`
Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thank you.
Hi 4bco,
There is no official ChronoForms plug-in for Joomla! 1.6 though Max has said that he expects to release one shortly. There is an unofficial version posted her by user diver that has worked for some users. Please check the ChronoForms v4 forum.
Bob
I have downloaded the one by diver, but I still have only the text
{chronocontact}Contact{/chronocontact} on the page I want to link the form to and if I view the form from the forms manager I get Powered By ChronoForms - ChronoEngine.com
I chose this plug-in from joomla.org which listed it as Joomla 1.6 native. 😟
I don't care that the powered by link is there. I care that the form isn't.....
Anyway to get this to work?
Hi 4bco,
Sorry, just replying to your post.
Does the form work from the Front-end link in the Forms Manager?
Bob
No problem. I realize I didn't make my problem clear...LOL its easy to miss understand/miss state problems on-line....and even easier on only 4hrs of sleep.
I can not get the form to display anywhere.
On the page is was added to, I get {chronocontact}Contact{/chronocontact}
In the form manager, I get Powered By ChronoForms - ChronoEngine.com
No form & nothing else. Thanks for your help.
I have the form working on the back end now, but I still only get the {chronocontact}Contact{/chronocontact}text on the front. Am I doing something wrong, what can I do to fix this & get the form to work.
Thanks
Hi 4bco,
The plug-in version that diver posted doesn't work for me either - though other users have reported success. Max has said that there will be an official release in a few days. Meanwhile the form should work in its own page if you can use it that way.
Bob
I could use the form directly on its own page if I could add some text above it. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks
Hi 4bco,
There is a new official version of the plug-in published now (and a new CFv4 RC1.8).
You can add any HTML (+PHP) you like into a Form using 'Custom Element' elements.
