I just downloaded and installed "ChronoForms_V3.2.0.zip" on Joomla 1.5.22 . The installation was successful.
Now I am in step 1 of the wizard ("Design your form") where I'm supposed to drag elements from the toolbox to the form.
After doing so, the element name (for ex. "Heading", or "Text") appears in the form where I dropped it, but the "Properties" section below the toolbox doesn't open at all, and I seem to have no way to do anything at all to the elements I drop in the form. I tried to click them, double-click, right-click but nothing happens and the Properties sections just stays empty.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.16 on Windows Vista.
Thanks for any help.

Hi SantiBailors,

You probably have the MooTools Upgrade Plugin enabled. This is an optional plug-in that enables the MooTools 1.2 library on your site.

ChronoForms v3 (and many other Joomla! extensions) use the MooTools 1.1.2 library that is installed by default. The ChronoForms Wizard, and other back-end code will not run with the plugin enabled.

If you disable the plug-in then ChronoForms v3 should run correctly.

Note ChronoForms v4 requires MooTools 1.2 and need the plug-in enabled.

If you are using ChronoForms v3 and need MooTools 1.2 in the front-end of your site then there is a hack for the plug-in posted in the forums here that will enable the 1.2 library in the front-end only. However the ChronoForms validation code and some other features will not work with this version.

There's a fuller "How-to Document" here that includes fixed files that will let the front-end of ChronoForms v 3.2 work with MooTools 1.2.

Hi GreyHead,

Thanks a lot for the very fast and useful reply ! Actually I had Mootools 1.2.4 plugin installed and enabled. Now I disabled it and ChronoForms v3 works as expected. Good catch 8)

Now I don't remember why and what had installed that Mootools plugin (<rant>I had to install and try much stuff in order to get some features into Joomla which I would consider basic ones, like a form</rant>) and I just hope that Mootools didn't come with M17n or some other addons I'm actually using... :? We'll see ... Anyway thanks again !

Hi SantiBailors,

The MooTools library is a standard part of Joomla! - though it isn't always loaded in the front-end. The upgrade plugin has been included since Joomla! 1.5.18 and is supposed to be disabled by default - but I'm not sure that is always true :-(

Hi Bob,

disabling the plugin just worked, without side effects.

Thanks !
