Is this ChronoForms v4? If so please see the Tutorial and videos linked to from this post.
The problem is most likely that you need to drag a Show HTML action into the OnLoad event box. In the latest RC1.6 release there is an 'easy Wizard' that has this and some other common settings preconfigured.
