Hello, I have looked all over for a form builder and I think this will help me. Please tell me this form builder can help me. 🙂 Can ChronoForms be used to create forms like the examples below? I rather just add website links of what I'm trying to do rather than explaining. Im trying to have a form where the user can enter in as many rows of terms/questions and answers as they want. Also have the ability to remove a row once created. Also the user can enter as many as needed in each row/field. Users will enter their information (the data will save in Joomla MySQL database) and click Create Flashcards. Another customize application will take this information from the database to build flascards.
Here are examples of the type for forms I am trying to build:
http://quizlet.com/create_set/
http://memorize.com/table-wizard
http://flashcards.dictionary.com/make
Can I assigned where this data is stored in the database? Also, can the data be saved with the username of the person that created the data?
I really thank you for the help Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi goodoboy,
Yes you can create forms like that. You will need to do hand-coding/ scripting to add the ability to add new rows into ChronoForms as that is not built in but is possible.
Yes.
Yes, by default ChronoForms creates tables that save the User ID but that can be used to access the Username or you can modify the table to save the username instead.

Thank you kindly for responding quickly.
I'm not a programming, but willing to learn if I have to. What type of hand-coding or scripting will I need code? Will have to write code to delete the rows or add pictures in the rows.
Is there any other limitations I should be aware of?
Can a simple Joomla search plugin be used to search database by tags and return a results page?
Thanks you kindly. I been using Joomla for like 4 months so i am still learning.
Thank you

Hi goodoboy,
You ae going to need to be able to write code in HTML, some PHP and probably some JavaScript. That's quite a lot for a non-programmer. You could maybe find someone to help you with parts of this.
ChronoForms makes it easy to create simple forms - unfortunately your forms are more advanced and so need more work :-(

Gary, thanks for your help. I will search for a developer to make some adjusting. Unless you have any other ideas. I'm not sure if Fabrick can help. People say Fabrick is for the more advance forms.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi goodoboy,
I've no idea if Fabrik can do it or not. It can certainly be done with ChronoForms but I would be wrong not to warn you that it requires some coding skills.

Thanks Gary,
I decided to create the form myself and hire a freelance coder (freelancer.com) to add/delete new rows in the form. This way I learn how to create form and just pay someone to do the small amount of coding required to add on to my form/component.
My question is: What type of coding langauage (PHP, JAVA, AJAX, etc.) is required to complete this so I know how to advertise to the coder and tell him/her what I need done?
Thank you

Hi goodoboy,
I'd rate PHP & Joomla! experience top, closely followed by JavaScript using MooTools. And of course some ChronoForms experience would be useful.
You can try posting in the Professional Services forum here too.

Gary,
With this component. Is there a module that shows user submissions? Such as the Latest Submissions module that show the title of the lastest form the user submitted.
Thanks

Hi goodoboy,
No, but you could build a little form that did that fairly easily.

PS Who is Gary?

I truly apologize. I meant, GreyHead. You have to excuse me, I been reading about forms all day. I really like the support here compared to other support pages. This is helpful for us newbies.
