Error message when Attachment is missing

Carre 21 Feb, 2011
First, thanks for ChronoForms - this is a fantastic tool!

I have a question about a form with attachments. I want to give the user the possibility to submit between 1 and 3 attachments. I made the first one mandatory and the next 2 ones are not. Everything works fine - the email gets sent, the files get uploaded, etc... The only issue is that if I only upload 1 file, I get an error message with no text. (Just "1." and then nothing). If I submit 3 attachments, then I get no error message. The minimum file size for both optional files is zero.

Any idea?

hi Anthony,

Is this the latest ChronoForms version 3.2?

If so there's a bug in the File upload code. Please see this post.

Yes, it is the latest 3.2 version. I uploaded the php file from your post. Now I get the following error message:

You are not allowed to access this URL

I did not change anything else and it was posting previously. Do I need to perform some other change somewhere?

Thanks!

hi,

I tried to go through the Wizard again and saved + I deactivated and reactivated File Upload, and this is not working fine. Thanks for the quick fix!

Anthony.

Hi Anthony,

This is usually seen if there are <form> or </form> tags in the Form HTML; or sometimes if there are problems with the Security Token (usually in IE); or with spaces or other odd characters in the form name.

Thanks Bob,

It must have been something with IE, because it works from another machine. Thanks for the help and thanks for a great product!

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same problem except i only use one possibillity to upload a file. I use Chronoforms 3.2 and the form that is giving the error is in an atricle (with plugin).

When a file is added everything works normal. When no file is added ther error appears and the form doesn't get send. I've tested it under IE and Firefox and both have the same problem.

The most strange thing is that i use this feature on another webside and there i don't have this error.

Hope someone has a brainwave to solve it.
