There is no automatic upgrade and there are fundamental differences between the two versions and not all the V3 options currently exist in v4. I would treat the current release of CF v4 as a beta release - I found some little problems testing yesterday.
If you need to upgrade then the best I can suggest so far is that you cut and paste over the main code blocks - everything else has to be set up again by hand.
I don't know if Max has plans for an automated upgrade.
