Google Apps not receiving, Exchange is? Need help!

advyon 20 Jan, 2011
Hey there, I have a website that we just finished up and I have 4 or 5 forms I am using through this program. I have been successful with this program in the past, but with my new website I am having the following problem.

1. When I send a form, it is successfully submitted
2. My "To" is a Google Apps address, Mail NEVER shows up here
3. My "CC" is my MS Exchange address, Mail DOES show up here
4. I am not using a "Dynamic To" or a "Dynamic From"
4. I have checked the Debug and it says there are no problems
5. I have checked my mail's web server que and there is no mention of any sending to *@mydomain.com
6. I have checked the Google Apps settings and nothing there is blocking IPs

I need help! The site is live and I'm scratching my head...

Hi adyvon,

Here's my standard list. Some don't apply to you but please check the others, g & h in particular:

a) That 'Send Emails' is set to 'Yes' on the Form General tab

b) That you have a valid Email Setup - if the box is green it's valid, red is invalid (see d below)

c) That you have set 'Enabled' to 'Yes' in the Email Setup Properties box

d) A valid Email Setup requires To, Subject, From Name and From Email elements (or the Dynamic equivalents) in the *same* setup box.

e) The element boxes must contain strings for the static elements or valid input names from the form for the Dynamic elements.

f) The To and From Email boxes must contain valid email addresses

g) The From Email address should match the Domain name.

h) The To email address should not be the same as the From Email address.

I'm pretty sure most of those things are a yes, and it is being submitted to my e-mail address and others just fine. But that domain is not receiving them? It is bizarre... Was hoping you had an idea.

Hi advyon,

Those are by far the most common problems. Something must be triggering the Gmail spam filter I think.

Thanks for your help, I found the problem and it was not in the form. My local server where the website is hosted was set to receive the mail, even though the MX records in the domain were set to send mail to Google. So when a form from the website was submitted, it was trying to send it to the incorrect mail server. Thought I would let you know since you tried to help.

Thanks again,
