Deleted tables with PHPmyadmin but they are still connected!

whiteangel 12 Jan, 2011
Hi,

I was testing out my site in a folder and then I moved it to its actual location along with the Mysql database.

After moving it to the new location, I logged into PHPmyadmin and deleted all the old tables that I had created with chronoforms, including a table that was associated with the my multi-page form. But when I went back to chronoforms, it still shows the tables that I have deleted and they are still linked to the forms that I had created and all the records seem intact! I logged off joomla and then logged in again, but its still the same. Can you tell me why this is happening.

The other problem is that I can't seem to disable the DB connection in forms management. Even if I select no and hit apply, the table that is highlighted in the list is automatically linked to the form!

Can you please help me with this.

Thanks

Ok, I figured it out.

I deleted the tables using the tables manager and everything is fine now.

I didn't know the tables manager could be used to delete tables. I just figured it out by chance. It would be nice if you could include a 'X' button on top of the tables and tool tips so that things are much clearer.

I think if you post a few video tutorials on the site, that would make things much clearer, especially for newbies like me and I'm sure it'll also reduce the time you spend answering support queries.

On the whole though, I think chronoforms is excellent. Thanks for the great extension!

Hi whiteangel,

There's nothing special about the tables. If you delete them in PHPMyAdmin they'll be deleted in just the same way as deleting them in ChronoForms. Maybe you were working on different versions of the database.
